The board of directors of Cadent has named Timothy Mack to lead the company as president. Terence J. Gunning, who has served in the role since 2007, stepped down to pursue other opportunities.
Mack possesses more than 25 years of management experience in the medical imaging and dental industries. He joined Cadent in 2005 as general manager of the dental area and was named COO in 2007. He previously served as vice president and general manager of Ceramco, a subsidiary of Dentsply International, where he played a lead role in introducing the first CAD/CAM system for the fabrication of zirconia restorations, according to a company press release.
For 20 years prior to that, Mack held senior business development and general management positions in Europe and the U.S. for Eastman Kodak, where he successfully implemented growth strategies across several divisions, including the development of its initial digital imaging offerings for oncology and dentistry, Cadent noted.
In related news, Mack named Bill Steinitz as vice president of sales for North America. Steinitz brings more than 10 years' experience in the dental industry, most recently as vice president of sales for North America at Gendex Dental Systems.
