Cosmetic dentist Christian Hahn’s, D.D.S., Kentucky dental office has won a national design competition sponsored by The Center for Health Design and Contract magazine.
"I didn't want my patients to walk through my front door and get the same feeling they've had at every dentist office they've visited, because they all look the same," Dr. Hahn said in a press release. "I wanted something clean and serene, without that antiseptic feel." Dr. Hahn worked with Rowland Design of Louisville to help him create his Ideal Dentistry offices in Prospect. "I chose Rowland because of their expertise in designing healthcare facilities," said Dr. Hahn. "I wanted to separate the dentistry from the patient because I believe that helps put them at ease. Rowland did an excellent job of designing the spaces so that my patients don't have to see or hear any dental equipment while they are not in the operatory itself." The competition winners will be officially announced at the Healthcare Design '09 Conference this month in Orlando, FL, but Dr. Hahn has already been notified that his office has won. "My patients and my co-workers are all delighted with the style and function of the design," said Dr. Hahn. "Winning this award just makes our smiles a little wider."
