A Brooklyn dentist will serve seven and a half years in jail for carrying out a $600,000 insurance fraud, according to a news story in the New York Post.
Barry Cohan, D.D.S., 51, pleaded guilty to filling bogus claims for dental services he did not perform while treating Port Authority cops, the Post reported.
He submitted these claims to the Port Authority and MetLife between 2004 and 2006.
Cohan also pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge, admitting that he used another dentist's name, according to the Post.
