Actor Sidney Poitier will be a featured speaker at the 2009 ADA meeting, the organization announced.
Dental professionals can register now for the ADA's 150th Annual Session and World Marketplace Exhibition, which will be held in Honolulu's Hawaii Convention Center from September 30 through October 4.
This year's meeting will offer more than 180 continuing education courses, most of which are free with registration. Registration also includes entrance into the World Marketplace Exhibition, with more than 350 suppliers of dental products and services expected to show their wares.
The Opening General Session takes place on Wednesday, September 30, at 5:30 p.m. at the Waikiki Shell and features Poitier, along with Hawaiian cultural performances and a special tribute to the ADA's 150th anniversary.
In addition to being an Academy Award-winning actor, Poitier is a writer, director, and diplomat who has served as Bahamas' ambassador to Japan and UNESCO.
