Refund delays are now a bigger fear than root canals for many Americans, according to TodayPay's 2025 "Where Is My Refund?" report.
Based on a survey of 500 U.S. shoppers, 37% of respondents said they would prefer a trip to the dentist over waiting seven days for a refund, while 63% expressed a desire for same-day refunds, reflecting a 12% increase from last year.
