A woman was arrested at the New York dental spa where she worked after allegedly receiving a shipment of a half pound of cocaine and fentanyl that she likely planned to resell, according to reports published on July 6.

Madelyn Javier, 31, recently pleaded not guilty to charges, including two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Javier, who was working at Esthetix Dental Spa in Manhattan, NY, was granted supervised release and had to surrender her passport, according to reports.

On June 27, Javier reportedly was caught with the shipment, which contained two brick-shaped packages and plastic baggies containing numerous pills that were identified as cocaine and fentanyl, while working at Esthetix Dental Spa in Manhattan, NY, according to stories.

The dental spa worker's arrest unfolded dramatically. On June 26, a drug-sniffing dog tipped authorities off about the contents of the package. U.S. drug enforcement agents in California reportedly used the tip to track the shipment to Esthetix Dental Spa, where they monitored the delivery and saw Javier receive the package and open it at the office, according to reports.
