Late last week, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated guidance designed to help dental practices as they begin to reopen after the closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dental professionals have been waiting for this updated guidance, hoping it would provide some clarity after confusion and plenty of questions following previous messages from the CDC, the ADA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and state and local governing bodies.

Did it accomplish that mission? Did it make things clearer for dentists and dental team members looking to ensure they are doing the right things to protect their safety and the safety of their patients? Those are just some of the questions we posed to Mary Govoni, one of the leading voices in the dental industry on infection control, in the podcast below, which lasts just under 25 minutes.
