Regulated medical waste return company BioRed has launched a new Total Compliance service to meet updated Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance rules.
The new compliance rules use a 16-point safety data sheet that contains information about health risks, storage and handling, accidental release, and other situations involving chemical agents. The deadline for workplace compliance with the OSHA updated Globally Harmonized System of classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) is June 1, 2016.
The new Total Compliance service allows managers to update labels and file a safety data sheet by entering the manufacturer and product. The labels created from the data include a harmonized signal word, pictogram, and hazard statement for each hazard class and category and can then be printed and applied.
Total Compliance also provides educational resources for OSHA and other regulatory trainings. It includes a searchable database of more than 207,000 current federal regulations, as well as millions of material safety data sheets.
