U.S. firm acquires Spanish dental prosthetic provider

Business Deal Handshake Woman

New York-based private equity firm Avista Capital has acquired the Spain-based dental prosthetic provider Terrats Medical.

Avista bought Terrats from the private equity firm Miura Partners, which is also based in Spain. Though the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, the deal calls for Terrats’ founders to lead the company and reinvest in it. Miura will keep a minority stake in the company.

The acquisition aims to reinforce Terrats’ presence in the U.S. and its expansion in other international markets. Since 1947, Terrats has manufactured and marketed a range of dental prosthetics, including abutments, implants, and related products.
