TAG - The Aspen Group highlighted national recognition two of its leaders recently received from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) and the University of Florida.
Dr. Julie Frantsve-Hawley, PhD, executive director of the new TAG Oral Care Center for Excellence, received the president's award from the AAPHD for her role in establishing the 25,000-sq. ft. clinical facility, which will open in the summer of 2022.
The TAG Oral Care Center for Excellence will offer patients access to state-of-the-art dental care at no cost to underserved Illinois residents. The center will serve an estimated 2,500 qualifying patients each year, TAG said.
"Each day, Dr. Frantsve-Hawley works tirelessly to break down barriers that prevent Americans from accessing much-needed oral healthcare," Bob Fontana, founder, chairman, and CEO of TAG, said.
In addition, TAG congratulated Aspen Dental's Dr. Sundeep Rawal, senior vice president of implant support services, on being named to the University of Florida's 40 under 40 list.
Rawal's leadership in prosthodontics and implantology for Aspen Dental, in addition to his commitment to mentorship and training of other young doctors, paved the way for this notable recognition, TAG said.
Rawal, a University of Florida alumnus, supports nearly 1,000 independently owned dental offices across the Aspen Dental network, ensuring that doctors and teams are equipped with the latest clinical dental implant techniques and technology.
