Dr. Jack Caton will step down as chair of the University of Rochester Medical Center Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) Periodontics Department, effective December 31.
Caton began teaching in 1973, became program director in 1990, and is known for his contributions to periodontology and high educational standards. He will continue as associate director for education, director of the master's program, and a faculty member in the department. A search committee will be established to find his replacement.
