NYU Dental names implant fellowship after donors

Dental Implants

The New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry has named an implant dentistry fellowship after alumni donors Drs. Noel Liu and Nazish Jafri.

The advanced training program in implant dentistry will be renamed the Liu Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Implant Dentistry. The $1 million gift will fund scholarships for dentists enrolling in the fellowship.

The Liu Advanced Clinical Fellowship is a two-year, full-time program for dentists to enhance their implant dentistry skills through clinical experience, didactics, and research. Additionally, the gift will support the NYU Dentistry Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and the Veterans Oral Care Access Resource.

Liu and Jafri co-own Secure Dental and have supported the NYU Dentistry Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities, where a treatment room will be named after them.
