The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry appointed Dorothy Tu, MHA, as its first associate dean of finance and administration, effective September 1, 2023.
Tu is an alumna of UCLA. She has held several positions at the University of California (UC), Irvine, where she helped establish the fourth nursing school for the UC system. Tu served as assistant dean of UC Irvine’s Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing from 2016 to 2022. She most recently served as the director of patient engagement and nursing practice at Elsevier, an academic publishing company that produces scientific, medical, and technical content.
