The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry has appointed Dr. Stephen Pachuta as its new dean.
Dr. Stephen Pachuta. Image courtesy of WVU.Pachuta is a retired U.S. Navy rear admiral and former chief of the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. He assumes his new role after more than three decades in the Navy, where he served as commander of multiple Navy medical and dental treatment facilities in the U.S., Guam, and Japan.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at WVU in 1985 and has held academic appointments at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, and the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC.
