The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), Henry Schein, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) plan to collaborate on an effort called #Masks4DentEd that will provide dental schools and education programs with KN95 masks for patient care.
The masks are much needed as more dental schools and programs resume patient care, which has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ADEA said. Henry Schein will distribute the FEMA-donated masks to schools and programs that request them from the ADEA; these schools and programs will only be charged for shipping and handling.
The program will distribute almost three million masks to 290 U.S. dental schools and programs, according to the ADEA.
