Dental Innovations has launched a financial education book aimed at new dentists.
The Financial Survival Guide for Dentists covers important business and financial topics, such as student loan debt repayment, contracts, insurance, retirement savings, and office ownership. Author Sam Shamardi, DMD, also offers firsthand accounts based on his experience as a practicing clinician.
"We spend years in dental school being trained in the clinical side of dentistry, only to graduate with little to no fundamental understanding of the business of dentistry itself," stated Dr. Shamardi, a periodontist and part-time lecturer at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, in a press release.
The text is available as an e-book on Amazon's Kindle direct publishing platform as well as scheduled to be published in hardback form through Ingram Spark's publishing service in early August.
