Roseman Univ. names new dean of South Jordan dental college

Roseman University has appointed Frank Licari, DDS, MPH, MBA, as the new dean of the College of Dental Medicine-South Jordan. He will assume the role on November 1, 2013.

Dr. Licari has a background in accreditation, academic affairs, clinical operations, and private dental practice, including 20 years of experience in dental education at both public and private universities, most recently as the associate dean for academic affairs and professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Prior to that, he served in various administrative and faculty positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and as a clinical assistant professor and the director of clinical education and patient care at Marquette University School of Dentistry.

After graduating from dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Licari maintained a busy private practice in Illinois for 10 years and has taken an active role in both university and public health service throughout his career.

Roseman University College of Dental Medicine-South Jordan, Utah's first dental school, recently enrolled its third class of Doctor of Dental Medicine students in the four-year program.
