MacPractice has released MacPractice MD, DDS, DC, and 20/20 version 4.2.3 with numerous functionality enhancements.
The upgraded version includes updated reports, lab, ePrescribe, and MacPractice EMR functionalities, the company noted. It is available free to all current MacPractice clients upon request.
The new features improve MacPractice DR, secure MacPractice data, and enhance interoperability with other products and services, according to the company.
MacPractice 4.2 is not supported on earlier versions of Mac OS. Before upgrading, MacPractice users are advised to review Mac OS 10.7 and 10.8 system requirements.
MacPractice will continue to support MacPractice 4.1.x for its clients who use Mac OS 10.5 to 10.7. MacPractice also will continue to support clients using earlier versions of MacPractice.
Used by 13,000 providers, MacPractice combines an Office of the National Coordinator's Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) 2011-2012 certified electronic health record (EHR)/electronic medical record (EMR) system with practice management tools.
