U.S. Army renews $17M dental IT contract with Harris

Harris has been awarded a $17 million contract to deliver help-desk and sustainment support to the U.S. Army Dental Command's Corporate Dental System located at Fort Sam Houston in Texas.

The contract includes a five-month base period and three one-year options. It is a recompete of a $4 million contract awarded to Harris in 2011, the company noted.

Harris will deliver information management support to maintain the Dental Command's suite of software applications, including the Corporate Dental Application and its associated modules and the Digital Enterprise Viewing and Acquisition Application. IT specialists stationed at bases in the continental U.S., Germany, and South Korea will provide help-desk and sustainment support to 206 U.S. Army and 113 U.S. Air Force dental clinics.
