Carestream Dental has formed a new partnership with XCPT, a software company that provides oral health practitioners with treatment planning and patient education solutions.
As a result, Synapshot -- XCPT's latest software application -- will be integrated into several Carestream products, the companies announced. Synapshot is designed to help dentists, dental assistants, and treatment coordinators communicate with patients and colleagues, and improve patient understanding and treatment acceptance.
Beginning with PracticeWorks practice management software, customers will have the ability to transfer patient data directly into Synapshot to create interactive treatment plans, without re-entering information, according to Carestream.
Users will be able to include their x-rays, CT scans, and photos in a single document to create a completely visual treatment plan. As diagnostic images are captured, they are automatically placed in Synapshot. All practice digital documents can be stored and managed in one location.
