L. Jackson Brown, DDS, PhD, editor of the Journal of Dental Education (JDE) since 2009, will retire from his position in March 2012.
Under Dr. Brown's direction, the manuscript submission process for the JDE was significantly streamlined. In addition, the JDE now attracts 60% more submissions annually from more than 50 countries around the world, according to the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), which publishes the journal.
ADEA said it will undertake a national search to find a successor to Dr. Brown and has engaged a consultant to help in the process.
