David Felton, DDS, a professor at the University of North Carolina (UNC), has been named dean of the West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry.
Dr. Felton is a graduate of the UNC dental school and has served on its faculty since 1990. A specialist in prosthodontics , he is a past president of the American College of Prosthodontics and has served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics since 2003.
At UNC, Felton served as director of graduate prosthodontics from 1989 to 1992 and as chair of the prosthodontics department from 1992 to 2002.
