A U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) dental clinic in Harlingen, TX, is expanding its staff and services, according to a story in the Monitor.
The clinic, which began treating dental patients in November 2008 with one full-time dentist, now has a new part-time dentist; an additional full-time dentist will join the staff in the future, VA agency spokesman Froy Garza told the newspaper.
The dental clinic will be expanded in January after a new outpatient surgical clinic being built at the same site opens, according to the Monitor. As some medical services are moved to the new building, there will be room for the dental clinic to grow, the story noted.
