A Columbia, MO, dentist is installing a wind-powered turbine at his office, making it the city's first wind-powered business.
Colin Malaker, D.D.S., said the installation at his Sterling Dental office will save energy and money.
Dr. Malaker told KOMU.com he hopes to start using the wind energy within the next couple of weeks. The turbine tower will be about 50 ft tall, but the surrounding businesses have no problem with it, he said.
When the turbine is not supplying power to Dr. Malaker's office, his electricity will come from a local utility provider.
