At the request of several members of Congress, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced today that it is further delaying enforcement of the Red Flags identity theft rules through December 31, 2010. The decision is designed to give Congress more time to consider legislation that would affect the scope of entities covered by the rules, the agency said.
