First Pacific, a privately held dental practice management company, is gearing up to release the newest version of its practice management software program. The software is currently being installed in beta offices, with a targeted release date in the third quarter this year.
Version 8.01 includes real-time electronic claim status so doctors can see the status of outstanding electronic claims. This saves them time and money by not having to wait on hold with insurance companies, according to First Pacific. The new software will also include the ability to track collections by individual provider. For offices that pay their associates on a percentage of collections, this new version will allow them to track payments made on treatment rendered by a particular provider.
"We strive to develop our software based on the actual needs of our clients," said Jeremy Clarke, director of client relations for First Pacific. "We're now able to provide our clients practicing with associates the ability to track both production and collections. The addition of viewing real-time claim status will save countless hours of staff time waiting on hold with insurance companies."
