Dentrix has launched a beta testing program for its new mobile app, according to the company's Web site.
With Dentrix Mobile, users can access the same practice information and patient data available on their office computers from their Blackberry Tour, BlackBerry Storm, iPhone, or Palm Pre. Dentrix Mobile allows users to:
- View appointment schedules.
- Search appointments by provider or patient.
- Read patient information, including contact information, prescriptions, medical alerts, past appointments, and future appointments.
To participate in the Dentrix Mobile beta program, participants must be on an active Dentrix Customer Service Plan and have installed Productivity Pack 7. Participating in the program will require users to download new files and alter some of their current settings.
In addition, by agreeing to participate, users are legally bound to comply with the terms of the nondisclosure agreement and provide useful feedback about Dentrix Mobile during the beta process, the company noted.
A commercial version of Dentrix Mobile will be available in May, according to the company.
