Univ. of Iowa may drop oral health sciences program

Low enrollment has prompted University of Iowa officials to consider dropping its bachelor's degree program in oral health sciences, according to a story in the Des Moines Register.

Twelve students have been admitted to the oral health sciences program since it was established in 1998, and only three students have completed the program. No staff positions would be eliminated if the program were cut, according to the story.

The regents are expected to vote on the recommendation this week.
