ADA, Forsyth offer evidence-based dentistry course

The ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD) and the Forsyth Institute are offering a five-day training course in evidence-based principles and tools, including systematic reviews and applications for clinical decision-making.

The collaborative ADA/Forsyth EBD Course will be held October 19-23 at the Forsyth headquarters in Boston.

Accommodating up to 30 students, the curriculum includes:

  • Formulating clinical questions
  • Searching for evidence
  • Critical reading and appraisal
  • Implementation

Coursework focus on human clinical trials will include:

  • Quantitative and qualitative outcomes
  • Risk calculation
  • Diagnosis
  • Systematic reviews

The course is available to dentists, dental team members, educators, researchers, and other dental professionals.
