Jason DeFord, better known by his musical moniker "Jelly Roll," is rocking a new smile, thanks to a full-mouth reconstruction, according to a TikTok video, which chronicles his transformation, posted by his wife Bunnie Xo.
In the video, a visibly sedated Jelly Roll, a nickname his mother gave him as a child, can be seen smiling in the dentist's chair. The 39-year-old explained that he was having his 20-year-old veneers replaced. His smile metamorphosis included wisdom tooth extractions and dental implants, according to the video.
Now that the 2024 Grammy Award nominee is making his mark on the music scene, he decided it was time to get all of his dental needs handled at once. Jelly Roll, who has spoken openly about his rocky past, which included addiction and arrests for aggravated robbery and possession of marijuana, said in the video, "I want a pretty smile. I had an ugly smile as a kid, and people picked on me and made fun of me and stuff."
Just in time for the start of his Beautifully Broken tour in April, the "Son of a Sinner" artist has a smile he can flash with confidence. Check out the video below.
