CAD/CAM equipment and software supplier 3Shape has announced its expansion into Asia with the opening of new offices in Shanghai and the appointment of Ye Jin as general manager.
The strategic location, combined with Jin's extensive local experience, will enable 3Shape to develop within the Asian market for digital dentistry, hearing, and quality control while maintaining its commitment to strong support and close relations with users of 3Shape 3D scanners and advanced software, the company stated.
The Asian market for digital dentistry is beginning to benefit from recent hospital privatization projects, expansion of private clinics, aging populations, and a growing urban middle class, according to 3Shape.
"The number of customers in Asia using our 3Shape Dental System is increasing every day," said Flemming Thorup, president and CEO of 3Shape, in a press release. "Dental labs in Asia have recognized the value of using 3Shape's 3D scanners and software solutions."
