Owandy USA and Ashtel Dental have launched the Visteo intraoral sensor, a digital x-ray sensor that features magnetic induction, integrated positioning, and 360° angulator rotation.
Visteo sensors are small, thin, and designed with rounded edges for patient comfort, according to the companies. Each sensor has seven predefined sensor positions or an infinite number of positions using its free angulation option, plus parallel positioning or the option to position it with the bisecting technique, the companies noted. In addition, the sensors provide resolution greater than 20 line pairs per millimeter (pl/mm).
"Visteo features magnetic induction that makes it very easy to use since the cable isn't fixed and the sensor can be attached and detached with a snap," said Anish Patel, CEO of Owandy USA, in a press release. "The sensor also rotates and is more comfortable for patients."
