J. Morita has introduced the 3D Accuitomo 170, the fourth generation of its Accuitomo cone-beam CT (CBCT) product line.
The system has a new dose-reduction feature that decreases patient exposure 30% to 40% compared with the previous Accuitomo model, according to the company. Even the largest field-of-view (FOV) of the entire head and neck area is 25% less dosage than an FMX, F-speed film, they added.
Nine FOV options allow practitioners to keep dosage to a minimum by closely matching the region of interest. Small FOV images, starting at just 40 x 40 mm, can be applied in endodontics, including the diagnosis of fractures. Larger options, up to 170 x 120 mm, cover the entire head and neck area, enabling a comprehensive examination for surgery or treatment planning for implants, J. Morita said.
The system also features i-Dixel 2.0 3D imaging software with a range of feature enhancements and improvements, including an intuitive user interface.
