The ADA Foundation is seeking applications for three awards.
The nomination deadlines for the Dr. David Whiston Leadership Award and the Henry Schein Cares Dr. David Whiston Leadership Award have been extended to June 17, according to the foundation.
The awards recognize dental students and early-career dentists who have demonstrated leadership in efforts to improve the public's oral health. The $5,000 awards pay for a leadership training program by the American Management Association.
In addition, applications for the Dr. Ray Bowen Student Research Award will be accepted until December 1. The Bowen award is open to dental students who want to do new research for operative dentistry.
The award provides $6,000 to support research and up to $1,000 to cover expenses to attend the Academy of Operative Dentistry annual meeting, where the research will be presented.
