Delta Dental of Ariz. opens community grants program

The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation has launched its 2013-2014 community grants program, which provides funding to organizations that help improve oral health.

Programs funded by these grants will promote good oral health practices and increase access to safe and effective preventive dental care, especially for children younger than 18 and pregnant mothers, according to a press release.

The foundation will host these workshops to help organizations write concise and compelling proposals for oral health programming:

  • Flagstaff: 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., July 23, Flagstaff Aquaplex
  • Lake Havasu: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., August 28, Boys & Girls Club of the Colorado River
  • Phoenix: 2:30-4:30 p.m., August 16, MOLAR Coalition meeting at the Maricopa County Department of Public Health
  • Phoenix: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., September 5, Arizona Community Foundation
  • Tucson: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., August 22, Community Foundation for Southern Arizona
  • Yuma: 9-11 a.m., July 31, Yuma Community Food Bank

Organizations have until October 3, 2013, to apply for one-, two-, or three-year grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000. For a list of past grant recipients, guidelines, and application materials, visit the foundation's website.
