Supreme Court nominee Judge Sonia Sotomayor owes some $15,000 to her dentist, according to news reports.
The reports, based on her financial disclosures, don't specify what sort of dental work she needed. But the debt has raised questions about her financial responsibility.
Sotomayor earns a six-figure salary and has a net worth of $740,000, so columnists and bloggers, such as Peter Brown for the Wall Street Journal, have questioned why she doesn't pay her dentist -- as well has her credit card bill, which is also about $15,000.
