An Ottawa man paid $7,000 in restitution for practicing dentistry without a license after a disgruntled patient reported him to the authorities, reported Ottawacitizen.com in a recent story.
Gzim Bytyqi practiced dentistry in Kosovo before fleeing the country nine years ago and could not pass the tests to get a Canadian license, reported Ottawacitizen.com.
Police raided Bytyqi's office after a patient treated by him developed severe infections and had to undergo surgery.
Bytyqi has pleaded guilty and will pay a $5,000 fine on top of the restitution.
