Blue Cross, Blue Shield grant supports NC dental bus

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation has awarded a three-year, $610,000 grant to support a bus that will travel across the state providing dental x-rays, according to a story in the Triangle Business Journal.

In an effort to provide dental care to uninsured and low-income people in North Carolina, the bus will work with the North Carolina Dental Health Fund's Missions of Mercy program, which provides free dental clinics.

The program will provide more than $1.8 million worth of dental care to more than 6,000 North Carolinians this year, according to the story.
