Northstar brings mobile CBCT to W. Mass.

Northstar Onsite is the newest provider of ImageWorks' NewTom VGi mobile cone-beam CT (CBCT) services.

Northstar will provide dental professionals in Western Massachusetts with cone-beam 3D imaging from the NewTom VGi for various procedures, including endodontics, implant placement, temporomandibular joint disorders, sleep apnea, oral surgery, and orthodontic treatments, according to the companies.

Northstar's staff of cone-beam CT technicians travels to referring doctors' offices in the mobile van outfitted with the NewTom VGi to provide these services.

Northstar has also teamed up with Radiology & Imaging to provide detailed oral maxillofacial diagnostic reports for doctors working with Northstar, and with nSequence for treatment planning and related services.

More than 45 mobile cone-beam service providers in the U.S. now feature a NewTom cone-beam CT, according to ImageWorks.
