Lexi-Comp, a provider of clinical reference information for healthcare professionals, has expanded its iPhone product offering to include the ability to download a 30-day free trial of its databases.
During this 30-day period, users have access to all Lexi-Comp databases and functionality available for the iPhone, the company announced. Lexi-Comp On-Hand for the iPhone features Lexi-Drugs, a comprehensive pharmacology database. Users can create and store personalized user notes within each Lexi-Drugs monograph and quickly determine drug, herb, and food interactions using Lexi-Interact. Clinicians can also link to FDA warnings, PubMed, and additional resources via the Internet.
Dental professionals can access the same photo-rich resources presented in Lexi-Comp's printed dental manuals and Internet-based Lexi-Comp Online for Dentistry. Medical resources such as Harrison's Practice, the 5-Minute Clinical Consult, and Stedman's Medical Dictionary for the Health Professions and Nursing are also available.
Lexi-Comp also offers compatibility with Palm and Pocket PC devices and smartphones, including BlackBerry and Windows Mobile.
