Dental Evolution introduced its Implanova self-grafting, self-osteomizing dental implant system at the recent meeting of the Academy of Osseointegration in San Diego.
The patent-pending system is designed for use by dentists of all skill levels, according to the company. The smart self-grafting bone management system mitigates the need for additional grafting and special procedures in cases of inadequate and/or soft bone. The system also offers low-insertion torque, allowing for immediate loading capability and little to no wait time for osseointegration. A single attachment and screw size can be used for the majority of clinical conditions, which produces lower product costs and savings for consumers, according to Dental Evolution.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared the Implanova system in 2015, and it is now for sale in the U.S. and Canada.
