Laser system developer Fotona launched the ST Pro LightWalker dental laser at the 2016 Midwinter Meeting in Chicago.
The ST Pro, which costs $49,900, is a hard- and soft-tissue laser with many of the features of the LightWalker ATS, the company said.
The laser is capable of removing caries without the need for shots and local anesthetic, according to Fotona. It also allows the dentist to perform a number of other procedures.
Additional features include the following:
- 12 watts of Er:YAG energy for fast cutting
- Large, user-friendly touchscreen with a range of presets
- High-visibility green aiming beam
- Built-in air supply
