In recognition of Women's History Month in March, Komet USA is launching a student essay contest in which dental students acknowledge women who have influenced or contributed to their educational and career paths.
For the contest, dental students should submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay about an influential woman in history, in their family, in the field of dental education, or in dental practice. The essays should focus on how and why this woman influenced or contributed to their pursuit of a dental career.
The first-place winner will receive a one-year supply of Komet burs, the second-place winner will receive a six-month supply of burs, and the third-place winner will receive a three-month supply.
All submissions should include the writer's name, contact information, and dental school, and should be in .doc or .rtf format. Essays must be emailed to [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. on March 31, 2016. Winners will be announced on April 15, 2016.
