Cosmetic Dentistry Insider: Does in-office bleaching produce more inflammation?

If you offer teeth whitening in your practice, you're probably concerned about both the result and keeping your patients' teeth and gums healthy. Teeth bleaching, a popular form of teeth whitening, is used in both in-office and at-home procedures. In a recent study, researchers from Brazil wanted to know if this procedure caused damage to a patient's dental pulp. Find out their results in our Insider Exclusive.

In other Cosmetics Community news, specialists, including cosmetic dentists, will be able to practice outside their announced specialty, according to a resolution approved by the ADA House of Delegates during the 2016 annual meeting. The change was expected after a U.S. judge ruled earlier in 2016 that a Texas regulation barring dentists from advertising themselves as "specialists" was unconstitutional.
