The Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation is now accepting grant applications from Virginia nonprofit organizations for initiatives to improve oral health in their communities.
Applications are being accepted through September 30, 2013, according to the organization.
In December, the foundation awarded oral health grants totaling more than $1.1 million to 36 organizations in Virginia.
Organizations eligible to receive grants include governmental agencies or educational institutions, entities holding a 501(c)(3) tax exemption, or organizations with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.
