Dr. Fresh, a California company known for its FireFly toothbrushes, is challenging kids to come up with the ultimate kid-friendly toothbrush -- one that is not only easy but fun to use.
The company is sponsoring its fourth annual toothbrush design contest -- "Be a Dental Inventor" -- to celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month (February 2010). The contest is open to second through fifth graders across the U.S. Kids are being asked to invent, design, and submit a drawing of their fantasy toothbrush and explain why they think it will appeal to other kids.
The first prize winner and a parent or guardian will receive a trip to Buena Park, CA, where they will visit the Dr. Fresh headquarters and enjoy a day at nearby Disneyland Resort. The winner will also receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond. Two runners up will each receive a $250 U.S. Savings Bond. Contest entrants will all receive a complimentary FireFly toothbrush.
To enter, children must submit an original drawing of their toothbrush design, along with a brief written description (100 words or less) of why they think kids would like to use their toothbrush.
