Dental product maker Shofu Dental has joined with other dental companies to develop an interactive Web site and print publication for dental students.
The Next DDS program will include a Web portal (www.thenextdds.com) and companion print publication for dental students searching for an adjunct to their classroom learning experiences, the company said.
The online platform is designed to foster communication among dental students and residents, connecting the academic and social communities. Enrolled users will access evidence-based educational resources (such as videos, webcasts, and blogs) that complement traditional classroom instruction and core curriculum, enabling interaction and discussion of topics, including clinical techniques and innovative technologies, as well as financial, licensure, and practice management issues.
Joining Shofu for the project are Colgate-Palmolive, Coltène/Whaledent, D4D Technologies, Dexis, Gendex, Henry Schein, Hu-Friedy, Imaging Sciences International, KaVo Dental, Officite, Pelton & Crane, and Premier Dental.
