Heraeus Kulzer introduces Artic denture line
Heraeus Kulzer has launched a new line of economy-priced, CAD/CAM dentures, the Arctic digital denture line. The line is digitally designed and manufactured and includes 17 teeth. The 11 anterior teeth are multilayered and allow adaptation to both existing teeth and complete denture sets. The six posterior teeth offer an accurate intercuspal relationship and perfect occlusion, according to the company.
The Artic dentures can be used with any traditional denture setup, but they are specially designed to work with the company's My Digital Denture system, the company noted.
Endodontics
Kerr debuts irrigation system
Kerr Endodontics has launched the new Endovac Pure irrigation system. The system includes a portable base unit, a sterile packed cartridge, and a single handheld controller. The system is designed to use the apical negative pressure technique.
The single handheld controller offers complete three-dimensional and apical root canal cleaning. The system eliminates debris and bacteria from the apical third, and it also provides a continuous flow of irrigants to the canal.

Armor Dental introduces dental healing aid
Armor Dental has launched the Mouth-Mate, a patented dental healing aid device for patients. The product allows a patient who has had oral surgery and other dental procedures to brush their teeth without disturbing the surgical site. The product comes with four adjustable tips of different sizes and shapes that are used to cover or retract the oral wound area.
Oral-B launches compact toothbrush
Oral-B has introduced the Compact Clean, a smaller toothbrush aimed at millennial patients. Millennial respondents said they wanted a small brush head that cleaned well in a Procter & Gamble consumer study. The new product's head is 25% smaller than Oral-B's traditional brushes and has bristles that are soft yet dense. The brush also has an ergonomically designed handle. Oral-B has a suggested retail price of between $3.99 and $4.50 for the brush. It is already in select stores in the U.S.

Henry Schein debuts Dentrix smartwatch app
Henry Schein and health technology company Simplifeye have debuted a new smartphone application for the Dentrix practice management platform. The application pushes patient information, including appointment type, name, and allergies, from Dentrix to Apple watches and iPhones. It also alerts staff members that a patient is ready to be seen with a buzz on the wrist, as well as keeps track of how long patients have been waiting.
The Simplifeye smartwatch and iPhone application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. From the app, dental professionals can subscribe to use the software through Henry Schein Practice Solutions

Orascoptic launches new headlight
Orascoptic has released a new surgical headlight, the Endeavour XL.
The headlight has three light intensity levels (low, medium, and high) that are controlled by the product's capacitive touch control.
It features a precise spot that distributes up to 85 lumens of light evenly across the entire field-of-view. The product also offers 24 hours of light output, according to the company.

Komet USA launches double-sided diamond disks
Komet USA has introduced a double-sided diamond disks with coarse diamond grains. The disks are available in two sizes: an 18-mm diameter D2014.HP.180 and a 22-mm diameter D2014.HP.220. The instruments have a green color ring for easy identification.
The disks are designed to offer effective chip removal while separating, precutting, and contouring acrylic and veneering ceramics. When operated at the optimal speed of 15,000 min-1, the coarse-diamond grit offers effective material removal, according to the company.
Komet introduces a ceramic cutter
Komet USA has also launched a new ceramic cutter, the K251EQ.HP.060. This ceramic EQ cutter has a bright white head and is designed to shape and correct acrylic appliances and prostheses chairside or in a laboratory. The product features a dual working part that uses staggered medium toothing at the lower end and crosscut fine toothing at its tip.
This dual working part allows for rapid substance removal, smoothing, and preparation for polishing, without needing to change instruments, according to the company.
