Dr. Tom Giacobbi turns the focus of his Just a Minute, Doc series to the Association for Dental Safety (ADS) and the numerous resources it provides for dental practices when it comes to infection control and prevention. Many of these resources, by the way, are free.
You may know ADS by its previous acronym of OSAP (the Organization for Safety, Asepsis, and Prevention), but do you know exactly what ADS does to help keep you and your dental patients safe? Dr. Giacobbi gives you the answer to that and more in the video below.

"I think I would start with a computer restart and then I'll be there in a minute to take a look.
"What is ADS? ADS is the Association for Dental Safety. They used to be known as OSAP. They provide evidence-based infection control guidelines specifically for dental settings, and they translate the CDC [U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] recommendations into practical protocols for your practice. They have a membership level that can provide you with the tools and resources you need to stay compliant with state and federal OSHA [U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration] regulations.
"I encourage you to check them out today. Now let's get back to work."
