The ADA has released guidance to help dentists answer questions about new U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations on mask use for those who are fully vaccinated, according to an ADA News article published on May 19.
The CDC is instructing healthcare providers to establish a process to ensure everyone entering a healthcare facility is assessed for COVID-19 symptoms, as well as exposure to those suspected or confirmed of SARS-CoV-2 infection. They should also ensure the practice of source control.
The ADA guidance provides steps for ensuring people in a healthcare facility follow hand hygiene practices and adhere to source control measures.
